Includes views of allied troops and tanks advancing through Palermo, Licata, and Campobello; troops clearing mine fields; allied warships shelling Axis positions; allied planes taking off and landing on seized airfields; German and Italian POW's, wrecked and captured tanks and planes, and the dead. Gen. Patton poses and leaves an amphibious craft.

George Smith Patton Jr. (November 11, 1885 – December 21, 1945) was a general of the United States Army who commanded the Seventh United States Army in the Mediterranean theater of World War II, and the United States Army Central in France and Germany after the Allied invasion of Normandy in June 1944.
